Today we sort of took the day off, or perhaps were having "team building", and drove 2 hrs away to a local game reserve called Pilanesburg National Park to see some animals. Visitors can drive their own cars, and it ended up being me, Stefan and his son Sam who went. We braved the hot, dry day and were rewarded with sightings (as the title would imply) of: zebras, wart hogs, rhinos, elephants, kudu, eland, guinea fowl, and giraffes. There is a group called the Big Five and we saw two of them today (rhino and elephants). No lions this time and we returned home exhausted but fairly pleased with what we saw.
